Common document clean-up tasks that are performed on documents are defined and stored in the DocuFi Batch profile settings of the Document Clean-up Options, allowing for fast and easy access at a later time.

Straighten Page (deskew)
The
Straighten Page option straightens the image using detected
text as the basis for alignment.
Reset Margins
The Reset Margins option searches and resizes the document based on the outermost raster or pixel data located. Set the boarder size by entering the number of pixels to use as a margin.
Smooth Text
The Smooth Text option smoothes the edging of text which improves the images' appearance and reduces its compressed image file size. The Smooth Text option can improve OCR (Optical Character Recognition) accuracy, improve legibility and reduce storage needs.
Invert Text
The Invert Text option detects white text within a dark background block and removes the background box and converts the text to black. Removing the background and changing the color of the text prepares the file for OCR (Optical Character Recognition).
Remove Noise
The
Remove Noise option removes speckles that are smaller than
the pixel size entered in the Size entry box.
Rotate Pages
The Rotate Pages option rotates the document pages 90, 180, or 270 degrees.
Preview a TIF
The Preview a TIF window is used to view, test and validate which settings and parameters should be used for processing with DocuFi Batch.
